You don't need it to be on to reload the OS....

You don't need it to be on to reload the OS. Install Desktop Manager on a PC and the actual OS from your carriers site, take out the battery, plug your BB in the computer, and use App Loader program...

Is there any way to make the calendar icon appear the day I have an event?

For example, if I have a doctors appt. @ 5PM, I want the icon to be visible from 12AM-5PM on that day.

After I updated to the latest OS, all my apps in app world disappeared. I researched it and only got "alt" + "rst" but that doesn't work for the Storm 2.
