It is a new line Cysco N and has the latest firmware. As I mentioned, my 8900 gets uma without fail. So I don't think its that. I get UMA all over the place when travelling, but hers is rarely...

Thanks John. I wonder what I can check to allow my wife's BB to show UMA. Very often hers will show EDGE when mine is showing UMA. This is at home on our own router.

My BB8900 and my wife's BB8900 are both Rogers unlocked. The 8520 is an unlocked Fido running on the rogers network.

I have a Cysco N Router at home, a Dlink G Router at the office and a Dlink G router at a friend's home.

I have a BB 8900 with latest OS and a BB 8520 with latest OS. Both are on the Rogers...

I can't get mine to connect with anything but wifi. When I have wifi off or are not in a wifi zone, it says that i cannot connect.

Browser re-config

I had a similar issue and fixed it by going to options, advanced options,browser and changed the first option (inrtenet browser) to hotspot. The mds browser is set to internet, and the wap is rogers...

Check your Browser setting

Its probably your browser setting. You need to change it in the main Options program - not from with the browser. Give that a go and it'll go back to the way it was for you. Fido doesnt block.

Key was jammed pressed down

My BB8320 had the menu key jammed down hard and it stuck. Caused the same blinking led. I just worked the gaps pf all the keys with a plastic thin edge till it freed. All ok now.

Hi, I'm a fairly frequent user of my BB8900 and have never even come close to 500mb in a month. I don't tether so my usage is all on the BB.

I think that the most i have ever used was a month...

Head to Bell

The easiest thing is to head over the Bell store and ask what the options for activating the BB are. Then you can decide if you want to mess with trying to save a few bucks buying the sim card...

I think it helps alot! I am a Rogers customer in Edmonton, AB and just got my 8900. My home router connected perfectly and UMA shows on the phone. I shut off my EDGE radio and I still am connected...
