It does seem that the other thread escalated quickly. Did some of the "rude" posts get deleted or something? I didn't really see anything but a member asking questions and then getting dumped on.

Yes, you can send an sms to a group. Just create the group in your address book and assign an appropriate phone number. Very similar to making an email group in your addre book.
