The BlackBerry lets you delete or "mark opened" any items you want. You can do it in bulk too so you can delete or mark all messages before a certain point. It's really not that big of a deal.

Any new changes to this? My Google Apps hosted domains are not automatically recognized in BIS like my gmail account. My only options are POP or IMAP and it sucks.
