If you download BBAlerts, it has a repeating alert function. you can choose from 3 set intervals, 1 minute, 3 minutes or 9 (i believe)

I dropped mine face down into a pile of sandy dirt. trackball was horrible for about 2 days afterwards.. ended up opening it up and blowing it out with compressed air, seemed to fix it
