I noticed this change as well, and to be honest I like the way it has been changed to how it is now, but I can see how not everyone would feel the same.

I'd say it's been damaged quite severely by whatever happened. If the battery pull doesn't help i'm not sure theres much you can do aside from taking it in to be looked at or taking your chances and...

sounds like the trackball is damaged.. scrolling by itself is pretty much limited to the trackball or maybe the keyboard. I'd try to have it fixed if you can find a place that will do that. Might...

It's my understanding the blackberry desktop software uses more of an imaging process to backup and restore than a file-by-file method. This effectively wipes the device as you restore data to it.
