This is part of an ediscovery proces, we have to be able to certify that what we extracted was on the device ay the time it was turned off.

I could deal with requiring a new version of BES, even with needing Win 2008. But if the new BES only supports OS 10, requiring 2 BES servers, that is a deal breaker.

The ability to separate and wipe enterprise data is good if you want to voluntarely activate your device. But if it is a requirement of your position, why would you want your personal texts, BBM, etc...

We look for patterns. When I look at web filter reports, I look at the top 3-5 categories used and blocked. I also look at the top 3-5 users for both usage and blocks. A one-of would not even appear...

I find that other than the SD card, encryption is not needed. If you have a password, you can't to the data without it. If you have no password, the data is readable anyway.

For a 2003 SP2 install, the safest way is to install ESM SP2 on the BES, and patch BES at the same time as Exchange.
