may be screws on the motherboard are not tight enough so this causes short circuit. not sure how to come up with this problem..
i would suggest taking it back 4 a new one. ;)

make sure that you have set your own country code in your phone
or else edit your sim phone number and save it.
even after doing this still your device hace the same problems than ask your call...
