So MM, you are stating that switching to the 9300 from the 8310 could trigger the data plan requirement?

You seem to be referencing the "device" rather than the contract.

Some options aren't available (such as Internet email, and disabling the password requirement) because the 9300 is setup as an enterprise BB. A friend is bringing a USB cable...

I do not know whether contacts are on simcard or in the 8310.

If I went ahead and did the 10 wrong passwords on the 9300, I could then insert the simcard into the 9300 after it had fully reset...
