You have to use the 4.1 JDE for devices like the 7130.

Nothing in your code needs to be signed, and you don't need a data plan to use the gps functionality. I have working gps apps that I wrote on a 7520 with no service at all that work just fine.

I don't think there is anything in there that needs to be sign. There are some hardcoded settings for the backend server though, so I don't think someone else compiling it for you would help....

I've zipped up the 4.1 code for you. I don't have any way of testing it on the 8700* line. It does seem to run fine on my 7520. I now use the 8800 though, and used it yesterday for 18 holes...
