Just for clarification, I can confirm I didnt carry over any SMS messages as they are not nearly as important as emails...

I found this a major bug bear as well on the Q10.

I have since gone back to my trust Bold 9900. The Q10 for me is a let down - it has great features, but it is too clunky, buggy and freezes...

When I got the Q10, I added the email accounts directly from the device itself.

As it is, I have lost patience with the needless complexity and functionality of the Q10 and am going to revert back...

Ok, just removed all accounts and then reinstated them - not one of them showed the "Forever" option.

Any advice?

I have used three NEW BlackBerry USB cables and the result is unchanged.

The green bar during the back up process gets almost to the end and seems to "hang" on:

Yes I do have a lot and also keep a lot of the emails, but less so SMS (texts).

I aim to sit down this weekend and trim my email inboxes for their content and then give it a try. I'll report back...

Turn off / Standby / Restart

So when I press standby, it simply restarts.

Appreciate the feedback. Aside from Twitter/Whatsapp, I dont have anything else installed so hopefully the battery life should at least be on par with what I have now.
