Well, the point is this : a SIM card is capable of storing multiple phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses for one contact. This is normal behaviour - in a 'real' address book this is how you store...

With OS 4.7.xxx I can enable legacy SB restore mode by doing this:

Options -> Advanced Options -> Service Book

then ALT SBEB

This doesn't appear to work with OS 5.0.xxxx

No, my SIM card has a number of entries for each contact - stored as work, mobile, home, other options available to such as e-mail address etc. My BB is only reading one, prob the first in the list.

As far as I know the desktop manager profiles each phone according to its PIN and so using two phones with the same DM installation shouldn't create a problem.
