I have tried to withstand the flaws on beta 6 on my Bold waiting for a formal release, but today I'm going back to v5

My main reason hasn't to do with battery life, but with the gosh editing...

I have been running the new OS 6 in my 9700 for a couple of days, started with v358 and today I installed latest v418

That did it ! Changing the Data Coding option ...

That did it ! Changing the Data Coding option from 7 Bit to UCS2 soived the issue.

Same thing that happens when scrolling it...

Same thing that happens when scrolling it sideways, different options for the letter are available but not the right accent.
