This may be true in some instances but I'd guess that the vast majority of people who both own a BlackBerry and are web savvy enough to find their way here would live in a country that has at least...

Right, so I took it to Carphone Warehouse, they said they only fix phones bought there, even though I was willing to pay.

After that, went to a regular, small shop, where I explained the problem...

Think you're right, think I'll try Carphone Warehouse tomorrow. Wishing i hadn't bought this new LCD screen now. If I do go, I'll update with the results in case anybody else has a similar problem....
