Problem resolved after I did a "repair installation" of the blackberry desktop manager.

It is not about the APN setting as I had been using tethering in the past.

Now I can't even launch the Modem setting on Desktop Manager....

After upgrade, the internet tethering via desktop manager is no longer working. Any one has this problem?

I have upgraded to this release using the all language version.

I have not encountered any of the above problems since the upgrade more than a day ago. So far so good. Hopefully it stay this way.

No choice but to downgrade to 4.6 yesterday evening.

Hopefully newer version of 5.0 is release soon.

personal opinion is that 4.6 is far more stable than 5.0. So if you are new to blackberry, it is better to use 4.6 than 5.0. Perhaps upgrade to 5.x only when further revisions are released.
