Just to let all know. I had the .176 on my VZW 8830. Updated to the .196.
Here is what I found:

Battery
slightly better on the ver .196

Ring Volume
No change

Memory Leak

Well now after a few days of experimenting, it is definitly better with enhanced audio turned OFF. Clients tell me its much clearer. How many of you have enhanced audio off????

Yes I have seen Telnav. Don't you have to hook up an external puck to pick up the satellites? VZ uses the wireless technology and picks up the gps satellites even in your home.

That Motorola headset looks pretty good, I don't see a mic for talking?
