That's not strictly true as I have owned both curve and bold devices and have experienced problems with both. My 9700 liked turning itself off randomly for instance. I am comfortable with dismantling...

There's isn't any reason why the phone itself would be eating battery life so quickly. I would just wipe your phone, get a new battery, a new charger and let it charge for 6-8 hours without even...
