You can try cleaning the ball incase there is some dirt or scummy stuff stuck in there.

What i do is take a Q-tip and dip it in rubbing alochol, then lightly coat the ball and roll it all around...

I found actual BlackBerry Batteries in the source. They wanted $69. I phoned Rogers and they agreed to give me an upgrade so i'm just doing that instead of risking a new battery.

Thanks. The battery i'm using came with the device. Lasted 3 years now. I tested it with my PC and the charging process does start but then stops and the device is not connected to the PC...

I had to stop using my Bold 9000 for a few months and in the meanwhile it must have drained the battery.

I plugged it in to charge and got a red light, followed by the white battery with blue...
