Ive found a lot of bum micro SD cards. My first two were bad and showed up as drives in windows but it told me to "insert disc" when I clicked on them. On the Pearl it just failed to format.

agreed. The micro SD card itself is so fragile that it really shouldnt be flying around. Install it once and leave it that way is my philosophy.

your pearl came with a micro? Most BB's only come with a SIM card which is the identifier card. Most likely you can just insert the Micro SD card and be fine. Otherwise you can backup the micro SD...

mine did something very similar when I inserted a memory card and flashing the new firmware helped. It also may help with a corrupted firmware.

yeah I'm definitely happy with my purchase now that I know the phone is good and the battery life is near optimal-- I definitely don't vouch for them but my experience was good after the memory card...

its a company that sells a lot of refurbed blackberries but yeah the onwer probably used their warranty, RIM refurbed it but never tested it with a memory card and sent it to this company.
