I don't see why not -- I used GPS-enabled Google Maps on my AT&T 8800 in Tunisia a few weeks ago. It depends more on if AT&T cripples the GPS to only work with Telenav, and that's location...

Interesting. My 8800 seems to float between GPRS and EDGE a ton -- much more than my old 8700. I saw it a lot last week in Vegas.

Why not? Gives more incentive for users to buy another BB to get the new features. I've always said that 4.2 would happen after the 8800 dropped -- I just didn't know that it would take this long :-)
