I don't know the exact version of BBM but the problem was happening in the OS 5 version and still happened in the OS 6 version after the update so I don't think it was the BBM version.

So I have a user with a 9700, I just installed OS 6 (the latest Rogers version Bundle 1879).

I have added myself to his BBM, if I create a new chat with him I can send him messages without an issue....

Had the same problem, a battery pull fixed it for me. It hasn't happened since but whether this is a temp fix or permanent is anyone's guess. I would think temp personally though.

Looks like Rogers Data is down (EDGE/GPRS), GSM seems to work...
