Are you sure it is connecting to the right network? Also, wifi is independent of either BIS or BES. I haven't tried it with a BB, but on other phones WIFI is independent of a carrier.

I just went by what he has listed as his device model. Either way, so far it seems a XX30 model number indicates a CDMA phone, not a GSM. Last I checked, a Verizon phone cannot run on ATT...
