i just used desktop manager to push it through, seems to me the updates are becoming more buggy to install, anyone agree?

Wait till the new platform comes out. I agree with what you are saying, BB have fallen behind the likes of android and IOS but I couldnt be without mine for email, bbm reliability etc

Every time i try to update the software, it gets stuck on database: sms message 502 of 850 items, any ideas?

I would try and reset the phone, wipe it and start again, i had 2 do this with my old 8520. Pain!

9790 is my works phone, 9900 is my personal one, i don't use whatsapp on my 9900 so im unsure if it would happen on there. All the settings are correct.

I use whatspp on my 9790, even when I have read a message, the LED indicator still keeps flashing, is there a fix? Its very annoying!
