Battery pull didn't help either. The only thing that removed the icon was uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Here's hoping it doesn't come back.

Ah, you're right. But I can't figure out how to make it go away. Made sure the app is up to date and tried opening and closing it (both parts of it).

I would look into upgrading to at least 4.1. The newest version that I'm aware of is 4.1.6. Unless I'm mistaken, 4.1 added support for more types of attachments.
