The SIM card from Movistar is definitely 128KB. I doubt that it is LTE as Spain is well behind the crowd on 4G.

Hmm. Good question. I will have to ask them this week. I used to have a 64K card with Vodafone Es. Would a 128K SIM card cause this behaviour?
