Try unistalling all previuos installations of any previous OS upgrades on your computer and run the downloaded OS to as you detailed above.

This version now takes ages to boot! On acquaring my 9300, I had been impressed by the little amount of time it took to boot. Now it feels like I am back to my old 8300 model.

You can input latitudes and longitudes in the Black Berry Maps application that comes already loaded too. And can save them to your Favorites. Click Advanced under Find Location and in the Address...

Options->Advanced Options->SIM Card->Edit SIM Phone Number. This is were is where the number is saved.

Using Blackberry Maps "Advanced" option correctly points to the correct place, the coordinates do not change. Unfortunately BB Maps has no satelite feature.
