I understand. I suspect RIM probably changed it to display the memory that's really usable to us, rather than just showing it all which technically could be misleading. I don't worry much about it...

Richard is right on. You have to delete the BIS CICAL service books to get reminders. I also had to do a hard reset(aka pull the battery) in addition to deleting the service books to get mine working...
