It's seems the difference has dropped significantly. I get now only 15% more autonomy by being EDGE only compared to 3G without phone calls...

For me the best is 221 ... I tried 244 & 247 and had to roll back mainly due to radio issues (3G is bad on those builds). Nonetheless sticking now to EDGE on 221 because the battery lasts longer ......
