I have an 8530 it is constantly sending & receiving. Checking my emails, Twitter, Facebook and so on. My battery isn't getting hot though. My guess would be the start of a bad battery.

I didn't do anything yesterday. It straightened itself out after 45 minutes of bouncing back and forth between Eastern and Atlantic time zones.

I live in Florida in the Eastern Time Zone and my Blackberry was doing the same thing yesterday around 2:15pm to 3:00pm. Then it stopped as fast as it started. Mine kept bouncing back and forth...

I don't know if all BB's are the same. On my 8530 go to the sound profile -> Set Ring Tones/Alerts -> Other -> Facebook Chat-> Volume -> Set to Silent.

I don't know if it has to do with the OS version but on my BB 8530 I don't get any game updates from my friends. Installing the FB App was the 1st thing I did after activating my BB over a month...
