You may have tried this already, but I'd check out his client side cache file...I've seen lot's of situations where that gets corrupt or outdated and really messes things up..you might try taking him...

I suspect either your email client or your email server is filtering the message so it doesn't appear in your inbox. Mail delivery to the Blackberry usually bypasses, at least in outlook, client...

My cell provider is Verizon, I haven't worked with your cell provider. It something similar was happening on my phone however, with Verizon, I'd call them and see if the BIS settings were messed up...

I'm not sure about how Sprint handles warranty service, but Verizon gives a 1 year warranty, and they normally handle replacement themselves, rather than directing you to RIM. I can't say, of course...
