The second OS6 leak for 9700 is better. Even with the first leak it was worth it IMO. It's pretty damn stable for an unofficial release and I don't usually play with leak OSes.

Tried this in both Wifi and EDGE. Reinstalled once as well.

No light. Zero. Nada. Battery on my curve is at 90%. It automatically enables the clock as expected.

8300 vs 8700 with OS 4.2 should have the same speed since they have the same processor. 8700 with OS 4.1 is slightly faster but not by much.

Well any data transfer and running programs are going to drain the battery. Try doing a battery reset and close JiveTalk and see if you'll notice any difference with battery life.

When you click on the "Lock" icon on the standby screen, it should lock the device and turn the screen off. I never use the "Mute" button to go to standby mode as I find that to be pretty useless....
