Check out IM+ from Shape Services. It works on the 8100 according to them, and it definitely works on the 8700 and 7130, so I believe them. (I'm waiting for the Cingular version of the 8100...)

You can go to any day header in the EMail list...

You can go to any day header in the EMail list and Delete Prior from there. You don't have to delete everything. But you must be on the day header in the list, not a message.

I for one would consider it a feature. Shame to waste a convenience key on a function that should always be available with one key press, and they seem to have solved that with press-and-hold.
