You can open BBM and select invite contact > enter an SMS contact.

You can also add contacts to BBM, and then Link them to their contact info saved on your berry.

It happens to me occasionally. I'm running 9700/5.0.0.586. For me it might happen once every couple of days and the 30 seconds isn't that big a deal.

The bold has better specs, but the keypad is a bit more cramped. You really need to go to the store and handle both of them to make the correct decision.

There's no menu key on an 8703. You'll need to press the alt key and the trackwheel,then select move. Then press the trackwheel ahain to finalize the move.
