no, i dont have a data plan
but i tried to update my phone and it says that there is no update
plus i incidently deleted the file rim_bb_messaging through bbsak and now i cant see any...

i wanted to ask if there is any alternate way of backing up contacts other that the desktop manager (to which my device connects but i the restore/backup/sync...

bbsak is indeed helpful and shows the device as connected
i must tell that in the desktop manager too, the device is detected but i am not able to perform backup/sync fns.
