I agree with Gen. Patraeus on this one. It could really undermind the efforts of the troops and civillians currently in Muslim areas of the globe. I would also like to state this is not the kind of behaviour i would expect from citizen of the US.

OTOH, the local Muslim community may be pleased. Burning is the way to get rid of unusable Qu'ran. I could just picture the local Imam showing up with an armfull of books and asking the nutbar to burn them for him.

I'm sure he will have a great many people who think that is just the right thing to do. It also illustrates so perfectly why religions and the human expressions of religions of all flavors have all too often supplied the underlying motivating rationale for war and bigotry. Not that it HAS to be, but that it often has been.

With burning Korans this Pastor is sending a message of hate and violence. I'm wondering what Bible is he reading because my Bible says to love my enemies and my reward will be great.
