Yahoo Messenger on BB Pearl

Hi,
I am a new Blackberry User.
I am on Sprint Sero Plan.
I was able to download and connect to Gmail,Opera and GMAPS
But I am unable to connect to Yahoo messenger.
When I try to Connect to yahoo messenger on my Blackberry Pearl I get an error
saying "Service Not enabled for this handheld"
Same error comes with Google Talk.
I have been reading in several forums that Instant Messengers work with SPRINT SERO.
Can some one please help me how I can get these to work.
