java uses a garbage collection system that runs all the time and does this automatically. As long as there is enough free memory it should fluctuate on it's own. If you read through some of the Aftermarket Software threads and read posts from developers they shed some light on this. I know I wrote a post to get the most memory but people seem to think it's a contest to always have the most free memory at any given time. You just need enough there for the device to use. It's just using it.
