Did you recently transfer information to your device from another Blackberry?
I had a similar problem with a customer that came in with a BB Tour. We upgraded him and transfered all his information from his old 8703e. I believe we fixed the issue by clearing the Message Database in the phone. Something didn't seem to transfer right and I believe the databases got corrupted.
Make sure you have everything backed up
--Try clearing the message database first (Desktop Manager > Backup & Restore > Advanced > Select Messages > Press Clear Button )
--If that doesn't work try wiping the device, do not restore data for 24 hours and see if problem persists.
