Members are only allowed to have 1 username on this forum, so banning an alternate name is normal. Members who knowingly create multiple usernames, for the sake of having separate identities, are banned by IP.

When information is posted multiple times the forum gets chaotic and messy. Therefore we do the best we can with keeping multiple threads on a topic closed and the 'main' thread open. Members are encouraged to search for answers before posting a query, as well as search for a solution before posting a 'how-to', but it doesn't always happen.

This forum has been around for 5 years, with many long-time members making detailed 'how-to' posts (and we also have the
FAQ site with answers, too). Search first, then ask/post.
