k8simpson: Is your Wi-Fi logo white or grey. If it is grey your BB hasn't connected to the RIM servers by the Wi-Fi connection. Check Wi-Fi diagnostics may tell you why. Many open Wi-Fi services are restrictive in what ports they will allow out. The airport service may be blocking.
