This release has changed the lock feature present in all previous versions. It is very similar to the lock feature that has been changed in the recent 8520, 8900 and 9000 releases. The lock button, located on the top left of the device, now immediately dims the screen and locks the keyboard. This lock button used to password lock the device in previous versions. The mute button, which used to lock the keyboard in previous releases, is now restricted. Also the (*) which used to password lock the device, performs the same feature as the lock button, dims the screen and locks the keyboard.
In order to password lock your device, you must now select the password lock icon.
