Looks more like a problem with the carrier.

Another guess:
delete all your service books, then reregister the BB and send all service books using the carriers Web-Portal. Wait until the servicebook reappear.

If you have a WiFi at your home, maybe try to boot the BB without the SIM, and use WiFi only.

Or, delete all service books, then, try a SIM from a different provider which also is Blackberry-Service enabled.
Its not the carrier since another of my colleagues with a Curve 9300 is having the exact same problems (on different network I should add).

Gonna try updating with new software found in this thread here and see if that helps, although cant d-load as the RIM site is showing its offline for maintenance.

And if that doesnt work, then a wipe will be the final stage, short of taking it back to the store and getting a replacement.
