BES EX 5.0.1-5.0.2 will work with regular BIS provisioning ( running BESeX5.0.2 myself) wor maild delivery and OTA activation.
If BESAdmin account is setup properly with permissions there should not be issue with activation from BES side.
Activation work on same way as full BES
BBI send ETP message to user mailbox, which is picked up by BES picking up and checking for email and password.You can use transpoter tool to move users from old BES to new one
Transporter tool will not work on BES Express 5.0.1. Only on BES ex 5.0.2
