What device do you have? Your profile says 8530 yet you posted int he 8300 section of the Forum. The 8300 is not WIFI capable, the 8530 is.

Free WiFi is free WiFi.

If you have an active BB data plan on your account and a connection to RIM via WiFI, then you will have BBM access, FB and twitter - maybe. It depends on your carrier and the type plan you have.
