Default Re: Now that the Verizon iphone is out

I am still under contract for a while with my Storm 2 and to be honest the iPhones at my office really are not that much better in most areas and rotten in one. My Storm 2 will work almost anywhere in the Galleria in Houston but the GSM phones have trouble in quite a few spots.

My view, and I shared it with my son who works at an Apple Store, is that it is better to wait until the LTE phones start to arrive as both RIM and Apple may have a lot better offering at that point. Right now I think that people who buy the iPhone will be unhappy around this time next year after the next generation phones arrive as they will be stuck with another year of contract. My son agreed with me. At this point I am not interested in the Android phones as the battery life can make the phone useless for me.

I don't think that Verizon will suffer as much as some of the at&t types have predicted as the network has been absorbing quite a few Androids which are bandwidth hogs.

In any event it costs nothing to wait and you might end up saving some money.
