Thanks for the reply - We've tried a number of different masks including :

.*://.*intranet*(:d*)?(/.*)*(?.*)?
.*://.*intranet(:d*)?(/.*)*(?.*)?
.*://.*\.intranet.mycompany\.
.*://.*\.intranet.mycompany\.com.*

The last two from the thread you linked - nothing works and everthing is directed to the proxy.
