Question BB lost connection with BES

I have a user who leaves her BB off except for the once a week or so that she is offsite. Last week, her 7520 BB decided it wasn't feeling the love anymore and stopped talking to the server. I hadn't seen the device, but I resent the service books and IT policy. It appeared to be sent succesfully according to BES (4.1).

When I finally got my hands on the device today, all of her corporate info was gone like it had been wiped, but the BIS stuff was still working and the activation icon was on the home screen. So I reactivated it and it is just fine now.

Ok, so I know that I cannot completely trust a user when they swear they didn't wipe the device inadvertantly, but is there a certain timeout to which the BES or device will stop talking to each other if they haven't communicated in a while?
