Not true, it will only get rid of all the stored passwords in the password safe if you had any not wipe your handheld.

I have reached 10/10 and it just let me reset my pass to password keeper.
This is strange. I backup on my Windows ME computer at home and there is no Certificate Synch option. My Pasword Keeper (what you refer to as the password safe) is definitely being backed up, i.e. I get the passwords back when I wipe and restore my 8700.
The Certificate Synch option comes up on my Desktop Manager at work (Windows XP), and that was where I was being asked for the Keystore Password. (I synch on two computers to keep my address list up to date at both work and home.)
Are you saying that the Keystore Password for Certificate Synch is for the Password Keeper? I have no idea what it is actually for but I'm surprised if it's for that.
