I just called and spoke to proclips customer service because I noticed that the 8700 holders were taken off of the website. I have an order in for one for the 8700.
She checked and said they had a client (multiple users or a distributor, I am not sure) who had metioned some problems but they were trying to get in touch with actual users who had those problems so they could be addressed. If anyone has the problem of scratching the 8700 they should call proclips.
I emailed her this thread to see some of the talk- they are aggresively trying to find out what the problems are so they can fix the problem if one exists.
By the way- I kept my order in place so I can see and feel how it works and hope mine is not a problem.
