Default Re: So I Went to Buy a Windows Phone

I actually did an analysis of the OS coverage on my AS/BES environments the other day.

Total handheld OS family split (high level) was:

iOS / 60.48%
Android / 18.21%
BlackBerry OS / 12.61%
Symbian / 4.70%
Windows / 3.20%
Other or Unknown / 0.70%
Palm / 0.10%

Yes, I split out Palm in the report because I was amazed we still had peeps using it LOL

But... If these figures are representative of a "standard company" (not high security, govt, military etc)... And I see no reason why they would not be indicative of a general spread...

It makes more sense for MS to build and develop iOS integration than Windows Phone integration. Especially because, if they don't, 3rd party products will come out and eat into MS just like BES did back in the day.

Just my 2p.
